Sonoff RF Bridge (R2) 433 MHz RF-WiFi gateway
Sonoff RF Bridge (R2) 433 MHz RF-WiFi gateway forms a bridge or provides a gateway between 433.92 MHz RF (radio frequency) devices and WiFi smart devices with the eWeLink app that can be controlled remotely via the Internet and can connect RF (wireless) sensors to the eWeLink platform to control Sonoff relays, switches and smart sockets.
R2 is a new version released in the fall of 2021, with a more powerful RF receiver and RF transmitter, and a renewed white housing.
The Sonoff RF Bridge 433, as the name suggests, is a bridge, i.e. a bridge between radio frequency (RF) devices and WiFi smart control based on the eWeLink platform. And R2 is the new version released in the fall of 2021.
Functions and methods of use:
(1) From RF to WiFi (receive RF control):
The 433.92 MHz RF transceiver built into the Sonoff RF Bridge device can receive the signal generated by the button press of the radio remote controls operating at this frequency and transmit the on/off command via WiFi (through the eWeLink Cloud) to the (in any case RF remote control non-supporting) eWeLink smart devices (for example, a Sonoff TH10/TH16, Sonoff POW R2 or a Sonoff Dual relay that does not support RF can be remotely controlled with the Sonoff 4-button remote control).
Compatible Sonoff sensors:
Sonoff PIR2 motion sensor
Sonoff DW1 door / window opening sensor
SmartWise DW2 advanced door / window opening sensor
Compatible RF buttons / remote controls:
Sonoff 4-button RF remote control
Sonoff 8-button desktop / wall remote control
SmartWise RF1 / RF2 / RF3 switches
SmartWise T1R1 / T1R2 / T1R3 switches
SmartWise RF push button / bell button
(2) WiFi to RF (send RF control):
It can also be used to simulate the button presses of an RF remote control from the eWeLink app - even remotely via the Internet, or locally, if our RF remote control is not at hand at the moment - and control RF smart devices (even other brands, not Sonoff) with it from the eWeLink app.
In the case of external RF control, Sonoff can now handle a total of 16 (previously 4) devices x 4 channels = a maximum of 64 (previously 16) RF devices with the latest basic software version (firmware). (That is, when using external RF control, Sonoff can handle a total of 16 4-button remote controls: 16 remote controls x 4 buttons = handling 64 controls).
The RF receiver is compatible with fixed code, 433.92 MHz frequency devices: such as: PT2260, PT2262, PT2264, EV1527, etc.
The product does not support dynamic and jumping code RF solutions, only fixed code remote controls and other RF devices.
The status changes initiated from the RF device are not visible in the smartphone app.
The Sonoff RF Bridge works from a standard 5V microUSB (also used in most smartphones) power supply, which is not part of the package!
It enables the 433MHz RF remote controls to control WiFi devices, i.e. they can be controlled with an RF remote control (it is not suitable for RF reception anyway), WiFi smart devices operating with the eWeLink platform
433.92 MHz RF (suitable for radio frequency remote control, but without WiFi) smart devices connected to the RF Bridge can also be switched from the eWeLink app (also remotely via the Internet)
A total of 8 timer settings / countdown timer / cyclic timer can be set to turn on/off 433MHz RF devices
Alarm push notifications can be set on the phone from the 433MHz human motion sensor and the Sonoff door and window opening sensor.
A free smartphone app is available for iOS and Android (eWeLink app)
Up to 16 devices can be paired with it for RF detection (RF remote control, RF sensors), and if used for RF control, it can control a maximum of 16 x 4 devices in total.
Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant
