Operating Principle
The KCvents VT501 SMART is a decentralized heat recovery ventilation system that refreshes the air in a single room. In the first step, the device extracts used, humid, polluted air from the room (for about 30 seconds), simultaneously "heating" the special ceramic heat exchanger, then the motor turns and sucks in fresh, external air, to which the ceramic heat exchanger transfers the stored heat.
The ceramic heat exchanger transmits the thermal energy of the extracted air to the incoming fresh air, so that most of the heating energy of the room (90%) is retained and no heat is lost during ventilation. This process helps prevent the formation of mold and rot and ensures a healthy indoor climate.
Two Units Working Together
When using two KCvents VT501 units, their operation can be synchronized so that one intakes while the other exhausts, and vice versa. Placing the two units on opposite walls of the room can further optimize air exchange conditions.
